After moving into the new factory, Acme is introducing a laser measurement system to further improve the precision of the machine. Such a system costs around 30 thousand USD and it uses a laser to measure the straightness of the rails and the positioning of the screw & bolts.
Such a machine can further improve the precision of the laser cutting machines in ACME. And save a lot of manpower compared with the traditional measurement manner. The positioning and repeat positioning accuracy can be further improved from 0.05 mm/meter.
